Dear Players,
Following the series of meetings we had in late
spring and early summer, which many of the players attended, we
have come to the conclusion that a Terms of Commitment needs to
be spelled out for those playing within our club. In particular,
the men’s Sunday team.
We need you to remember that Club Marin is one
club with many teams, and the Sunday team is an example for all
to follow. We need to responsible adults, and care for those who
stand by you on and off the field whether it is a 40 year old,
or one of our 11 year olds. This club will grow successful, but
much of this depends upon our Sunday team, its example.
At the meetings, the idea of a Terms of Commitment
was stressed by several Sunday players, who wish to make this
the best possible team in the areas of communication, commitment,
and performance.
If you are serious about this team, then your
teammates and the staff of Club Marin expect the following:
- Attend at least one practice a week.
-If you are unable to attend you must respond with a reason
for not attending.
-if you do not communicate, and do not show a $10 fine will
be administrated to the “Sunday team fund” paid
by you.
- Attend all games
-If you are unable to attend you must communicate with a reasonable
reason for not attending at least 5 days in advance in the
event we will need to sign another player. -if you do not
call, and do not show a $25 fine will be administrated to
the “team fund paid by you. “Extraordinary circumstances
will be taken into account.
-if there is poor communication for a third time, you will
be dropped from the team.
- Have your dues paid for to have membership to the club.-These
were the player’s ideas. They believed it will further
their commitment to the team.
-This can be paid in full by the player, or you can attain
three boosters at a total of $25 minimum per booster. The
players felt this was extremely reasonable because everyone
has parents, friends, and loved ones who are working professionals.
In return boosters will be privy to our events and games.
This will enable them to share in the fun and growth of our
organization..
These three things are not much to ask. They
take Communication, Commitment, and simply playing the game, because
we are not concerned about your abilities to perform. We only
need you there for it to work.
